Privacy notice

This notice explains what shrutigaur.com collects when you use the free check, the calculator or the WhatsApp buttons, and what happens to it. The data fiduciary is Shruti Gaur, nutritionist & pharmacist, Chandigarh, India.
What we collect
- Your first name and WhatsApp number, if you choose to share them.
- Your answers to the free check: goal, age, sex, height, weight, activity, diet type and the habits you tick. Some of these, like PCOD or blood sugar concerns, are health information, so they're treated as sensitive.
- Which link brought you here (for example an Instagram story), and anonymous page-view counts.
The calculator runs in your browser. Nothing you type into it is saved.
If you share a client story through the review page, we keep your first name, city, rating, story and, if you add it, your WhatsApp number. Only the first name, city, rating and story are ever shown, and only after Shruti approves it.
Why
Only so that Shruti can reply to you on WhatsApp about your results and a consultation, and, if you ticked the second box, occasionally send tips and new batch dates. Your data isn't sold, and your health answers are never shared with advertisers.
AI insights
After you unlock your result, your check answers (not your name or number) are sent to OpenAI to write your three insights and the draft message. OpenAI processes them only to return that text and doesn't use API data to train its models.
How long it's kept
Until you ask for it to be deleted, or 12 months after our last conversation if you don't become a client, whichever comes first.
Your choices
- To withdraw consent, stop messages or have your data deleted, reply STOP on WhatsApp or email hello@shrutigaur.com. This is as easy as giving consent was, and it's done within 7 days.
- You can ask for a copy of what's held about you, or for corrections, the same way.
- If you're not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it begins accepting complaints.
Where it's stored
The site is hosted on Vercel, and leads and stories are stored in an Upstash Redis database, both with encryption in transit and at rest. Conversations happen on WhatsApp, which has its own privacy policy.
